A Single Raindrop 2
(ºø¹æ¿ï Çϳª°¡ 2)
A single rain drop hangs
at the tip of a pine branch,
its mouth shut tight.
A beetle opens
with all its might, it
opens the heart of the rain drop
and falls right into it.
Fully, completely, everything falls in,
dangling at the tip of the pine branch,
at the tip of the wind
If We Were to Turn into Water
(¿ì¸®°¡ ¹°ÀÌ µÇ¾î)
If, as water, we met,
what family suffering from drought would not like it?
If we were to flow, standing among tall trees,
Like the sound of pouring rain¡¦
We would flow on and on, and at dusk,
lying deep in the river,
we would moisten the roots of dead trees.
And, oh yes, reach the shy sea still virgin.
But now we are about to
meet as fire.
A bone that has already turned to charcoal
is caressing the burning things of the world.
You who wait ten-thousand miles away,
let us meet as water
after the fire passes.
Speak in the hush of a dying flame;
when you return,
come through the sky
wide and clear
where no trace of man is found.

A single tree sways.
If a single tree sways,
two trees will sway.
If two trees sway,
three will sway.
So it happens
The dream of a single tree
is the dream of two tree.
The dream of two trees
is the dream of three trees.
A single tree sways.
If a single tree sways,
two trees will sway.
If two trees sway,
three will sway
when a single tree shakes its head,
two trees beside it shake theirs,
and beside them
three trees shake theirs.
A single tree sways.
If a single tree sways,
two trees will sway.
If two trees sway,
three will sway
No one is here
With no one present
the trees sway
shaking their heads.
So it will happen,
all together. |
